Rae Elenich is a communications leader who has worked with global brands from Dolby Laboratories, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, NASA, Owens Corning, to Upwork. From building brand awareness, promoting products, managing crises, and developing thought leadership, to nurturing positive teams and cultures, Rae focuses on establishing and growing confidence as the main driver for people, products, and brands. Rae has worked remotely for over 15 years and recently moved back to Ann Arbor, where she loves exploring with her son and pug puppy.
Ilyse Kaplan is a C-suite executive with extensive experience as both a business operator and investor. She combines deep business acumen with people-first leadership to scale mission-driven companies into category leaders. In her current role as the CFO of Mananalu, she leads the day-to-day operations of a startup tackling the issue of single-use plastic in the bottled water space. Prior to this role, she was the President and COO of Feather, an NYC-based startup focused on furniture waste. Ilyse lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and spends her free time traveling, reading, skiing, and seeing and making art.
The mission of SafeHouse Center is to empower survivors of both sexual and intimate partner violence by providing advocacy, support, and promoting social change within our community.
